At Pulse Environmental we understand the importance of properly selected, vetted and trained staff.
All our secure destruction operatives are independently security vetted, by a BSIA approved agency to the BS 7858:2012.
The British Standard (BS7858:2012) sets out recommendations for the security screening (vetting) of individuals to be employed in an environment where the security and safety of people, goods or property is essential. This includes data security, sensitive and service contracts and confidential records.
This new standard came into effect on 30th April 2009 and supersedes BS7858:2004 which has been withdrawn.
British Standard 7858:2012 sets the relevant screening period at not less than 5 years with no unverified gaps greater than 28 days. For the first time it also recommends the individual’s financial history should be checked and also requires that a Criminal Record Disclosure be obtained.
