Some Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) are now classified as hazardous waste.
As of April 2010, the EA has reclassified TFT and LCD monitors including laptop screens as Hazardous Waste.
This now means that all CRT monitors, LCD & TFT monitors, all in one computers, laptops and televisions are all classified as hazardous waste a under the 2005 Hazardous Waste Regulations.
